The safest type of Contactless Payment

The world of payments has changed dramatically over the past 3 months, where contactless was growing at a healthy rate it has now become the standard way to pay for things with fewer and fewer people and businesses accepting cash as a method of payment.

We are very aware of peoples sensitivity around financial and personal security. We spent a lot of time researching the delivery partners for this product and assuring ourselves that it was safe. Here’s what we’ve learn and why we’re confident in the CashCuff solution.

Safety first

Let’s tackle the financial concerns first. The CashCuff is ‘payment ready’ this is a globally recognised platform that is supported by MasterCard. It is the first, fully regulated platform that provides customers with a confidence marker for wearable payment technology.

We are one of the first businesses in the world to offer this technology, and the first to offer it within a shirt. We believe that this is just the beginning, much like the early days of the mobile phone, where what our clothes ‘do’ for us will rapidly evolve.

Personal security

I’d like to now pick up on the personal security. There’s two parts to this, no cash means there’s nothing to take away from you, no wallet, notes or coins within your clothes or bag that could be taken without your knowledge. More importantly, you’re not getting an expensive phone out of your pocket or bag to make the payment, which uses the same NFC technology that we have in the CashCuff.

The CashCuff is a discreet solution

The CashCuff is discreet, it was a deliberate design decision, only you know it’s there and it’s extremely safe and secure within the shirt. There are no external marks that identify a CashCuff shirt.

User experience

We believe that paying contactlessly should be intuitive, smooth and just feel natural. Fumbling around for cards or phones just isn’t and still carries transmission concerns. The CashCuff transactions require you to hold your cuff near, not on, the payment terminal for exactly the same amount of time you’d put a card there, only you don’t have the find the card because it’s already there, to hand.

Addressing peoples concerns

If you’re still concerned we think this will help. The CashCuff is a pay forward process, there are no credit card details on the chip itself. If you’re concerned about ‘going mad’ and buying things left right and centre, you control the cash that’s available, you can limit and control your spending, switch the chip on and off and see all your receipts via the MuchBetter app.

Clarity

We hope this helps clear up any grey areas or misunderstandings there may be about our CashCuff shirts. If you’d like to learn more about the processes and development that went into launching the products we are presenting at Insight Intelligence this Thursday, July 2nd 11.30am, it’s a FREE to attend virtual conference, hope to see you there.
