ReCode is a bespoke, hand-made process
Every ReCode project that we undertake is different. Different materials, requirements and styles. These are one of a kind shirts, designed and made by hand to our exacting standards.
The process

Material
A single long sleeved shirt requires approximately 2.5 to 4m material (depending upon width of the material supplied. Ideally supplied material should be 60” wide). The overall area needed is 4m x 1.5m/shirt. We advise having half a meter more than you’re anticipating using, just in case.
You need to touch and feel the materials, test them against your skin, especially around your neck. Anything that feels rough to touch will be irritable to wear, likewise if it’s thick and heavy it’s going to be hot. We advise sourcing natural fibres such as Cotton, Hemp and Linen. Finally, please ensure all materials are clean/laundered.
Packing and logistics
We will send you an address label and full packing instructions via email. We can collect from your home or office address within mainland UK. If you’re outside the UK no problem, contact us with details of your location and we will provide a full costing and time scale.
Measurements
We can work with metric or imperial measurements. The measurements you provide are critical to the overall success of what we produce. They are private, between you and us and will not be shared with anybody else.
TIP - Use the measurement tables from our website to understand what and where to measure. Using an existing favourite shirt will help a lot here.

This is optional as we can create a shirt from your supplied materials or we can up-cycle an existing shirt. If supplying a shirt please ensure it has been laundered.
What we will do
We will confirm receipt of your materials (via email or text) and begin exploring the reality of your vision, working with you to develop a solution that delivers the ideas and values you are looking for. There is an optional 30 minute video consultation where we will explore design ideas and agree a scope of works (confirmed with you via email or text) for sign-off before begin the work.
Timing
ReCode Shirts are a hand-crafted, individual experience. This means that a member of the DressCode team will be assigned to develop your shirt. That’s a real-life person, who will iron the material, cut and sew the shirt to the design that we have agreed.
We advise allowing a minimum of 7 weeks from the confirmation of receipt of goods at DressCode HQ. The ReCode process takes between 7-10 weeks to complete. We will provide updates throughout the process and confirm a delivery date.
The costs
This is a bespoke service, there are lots of options. We start the conversation with 2 options:- £380 without consultation, leaving us free to interpret the materials and design. Or £460 with consultation and design sketch. Anything is possible! Just ask, these are unique shirts
TIP We advise producing more than one shirt, it makes laundry and the rotation of shirts much easier to manage. Additional work will be quoted/advised during the consultation process.
